A disassembled bookcase can be stored in a closet or under a bed without taking up any more space than a few inches. The 18" bookcase comes with four 12" shelves and can hold up to eight 12" shelves. The 39" bookcase comes with four 24" shelves and can hold up to 24" shelves. Extra shelves can be ordered at an extra cost.
